It is considered a landmark and was designed by international architect Arthur Erickson.” Al-Sawaber Complex was included in the list of “modern heritage in danger,” which is a global recognition of its importance, and UNESCO recommended registering it among the buildings of the twentieth century. Unfortunately, Al Sawaber Complex was recently demolished.
